# Video : How to multiply two 3-digit numbers ?

In the previous tutorial, we introduced Criss-Cross System of Multiplication which has its origin from Vedic Maths. In this tutorial, we will see, how to multiply any two 3-digit numbers using this technique. At the end of this tutorial, you will see how to get the answer from multiplying two 3-digit number in a single step.

The following video tutorial explains the shortcut in greater detail.

The following figure explains the complete steps involved in the criss-cross multiplication of two 3-digit numbers with a simple example.

As you can see, there are 5 steps in getting the final answer. However, if you practice it, you can directly write the final answer in a single step.

Using this shortcut, can you obtain the answers of the following :

• 323 x 212
• 334 x 435
• 526 x 98
• 212 x 123

P.S : This is a video tutorial. There is already another article on the same topic, where I have discussed the criss-cross multiplication in greater detail with more example. You can read it here.

I hope you find this tutorial useful. If you have any doubts with this tutorial, please leave a comment or contact me, I would be glad to help.

Thank you so much for posting this.
I noticed an error in your typing. The final answer part is right.
But where you work out the steps, Step iii should be 11 not 14
Step V should be 2 not 8. Do correct it.
