In this video tutorial, we will see how easy it is to multiply the given number if one of the number is 111, 1111 or a series of 1′s.

This Mathematical Shortcut is an extension of my previous article, where we discussed about multiplying any number with 11. You can read about this article here. There is also another article where we discuss about multiplying any number with a series of 1′s. Please go through it here, if you haven’t done so already.

With this understanding, you will realize at the end of this video tutorial, you can multiply any number, no matter how big the number is, if the number consists of all 1′s.

The entire steps can be illustrated with the following figure.

The following video tutorial explains how to multiply any number with 111, 1111 or any series of 1′s.

With this understanding can you multiply the following :

- 342 x 111
- 34565 x 1111
- 72 x 111
- 892 x 11111

I hope you find this tutorial useful. If you have any doubts with this tutorial, please leave a comment or contact me, I would be glad to help.
